Mrs. Natasha Joyce Stephens

Statesboro, Georgia It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Natasha Joyce Stephens, who departed this life, Monday, June 8, 2026. Natasha was the heart of her family, a source of unwavering love and strength, and a shining light to everyone blessed to know her. Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the beautiful memories, wisdom, and love she leaves behind. Natasha was born on February 11, 1980, in Statesboro, Georgia, to Garfield Joyce Jr. and Vernita Harris. From an early age, she displayed a warm spirit, a caring heart, and a determination that would guide her throughout her life. She was known for her honesty, resilience, generosity, infectious sense of humor, and deep love for her family and friends. She received her education through Bulloch County School System and was a member of the graduating class of 1998. She also attended the Ogeechee Technical College, where she studied Criminal Justice. Natasha later became a licensed insurance agent and also earned a diploma in massage therapy. She approached every endeavor with dedication and excellence. While she took pride in her professional accomplishments, her greatest achievement and deepest joy came from being a loving mother, devoted wife, and caring grandmother. Natasha enjoyed singing, shopping, spending time with loved ones, and creating joyful memories with those around her. She will always be remembered for her famous sayings, “Is the ghetti ready?” and “My Trio.” Her beautiful smile could brighten any room, and her loving presence brought comfort, laughter, and encouragement to everyone she encountered. Natasha leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, Craig Stephens; her beloved children, Rakeil Lanier, Cashay Lanier (Jahri Brown), and Theori Joyce; and her treasured grandchildren, Titan Lanier, Raige Lanier, Kreid Anderson, Kinex Brown, and Khoex Brown. She is also survived by her parents, Garfield and Raquel Joyce and Vernita Harris; her siblings, Natasha Jackson Thomas (Demetrius Thomas), Natalie Joyce, Garfield Joyce III, Michael Marshall, Tybee Floyd, Zenobia Harris, Erin Rawls, Kelsey Rawls, Brian Palmer, Rodrigus Rawls, and Cory Rawls; her nephews Kase and Corde; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles: Terry Golden (Gerald), Tonja Joyce, Keisha Steward (Joe), Victor Joyce (Paula), Charles Joyce (Sheila Davis), and many other cherished relatives. Natasha was preceded in death by her father, Paul Harris; grandparents Garfield Joyce Sr. and Blonnie Joyce, Ernest Joyce Sr. and Margarite Joyce; her cousins Bronrocklyn Joyce and Christopher “Tootie” Joyce; and other beloved family members who welcomed her into eternal rest. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, strength, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Her legacy of compassion, laughter, and devotion to family will remain forever in our hearts. “Forever Loved, Never Forgotten.” A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the Original First African Baptist Church, the Christopher Culbreth, I, Pastor, Elder Enrico Lowe, Presiding and the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., Eulogist. The burial will follow in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Stpehens will lie in repose at the church, on the day of servies from 10 A.M until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. No planned vistation will be held. Final rites have been entrtusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
